I have some around here that I'd like to catch, but as soon as I get close, they climb up a tree and I can't get them. Chickens!!<br /><br />Thanks for your answer about the lightening bugs. That clears up everything. I never thought that they could be self contained and power their own lights by flapping their wings. That sounds very strenuous to me. No wonder you don't see them during the day. They need lots of rest. I'm glad I'm not a lightening bug.
