Teka is home and not a happy puppy!
She pulled out her catheter three times!
She started chewing on her sutures as soon as the anesthetic started to wear off, so she is wearing the dreaded cone of doom! For at least 10 days! for sure, for sure.
The Dr. sent her home with pain killers. She said to try a half a pill every eight hours, but don't worry if it takes a whole pill. Muzzer is not sure whether Teka gets the pill or muzzer, but we have a call in to the vet. (hehehe)
She is not supposed to jump, get excited, or strain herself. Yeah right! This is Teka we are talking about!
She smells kinda strange.
She hasn't barked at me once.
She isn't watching out the front window.
I think muzzer has the wrong dog!

Try having her wear a t-shirt and tie a knot in it to cover her stitches!
Poor Teka. Maybe she'll feel better if you paw-tograph her cone?
oh poor teka, but this will soon be the doofus's fate as well. there is no way you will keep her from running and jumping, but I wish you guys luck
Get better quickly, Teka.
wally.
ps. Can I get some of those pills for my sister. She could use a calming influence.
Poor Teka! Ten days is a long time to wear the dreaded cone!
I like Wally's idea - do you have extra pills for Mitch too??
Love ya lots,
Maggie
Thanks for the Teka update - my mom says both Teka and Muzzer need pills if poor Teka has to wear the cone forever!!
Oh and I must say, I think you looked very dashing in your bow tie!!!

I'm kind of with Butchy and Snickers on this one. When Pappy had his stitches, a simple ace bandage and he'd leave them alone-- but as soon as the bandage was off he was busily trying to pull out a lung. Obviously it will be a little harder for you to cover her incision.
Get well soon Teka! Hope you don't have to suffer the dreaded cone for too long. J x
