And this one's for you...Stanley

My Pal Stanley wrote and requested a rewrite of Grandma got Run Over By a Reindeer .

Muzzer is rather fond of the version we did last year, which we posted on Christmas Eve .

I reminded her that we promised to work the doggy's name into the song, so here is the latest and greatest revised revision!

Teka got run over by a reindeer.
Running ‘way from our house Christmas eve.
You can say there's no such thing as Santa,
but as for me and muzzer we believe.

She'd been eating far too many chew bars,
and we begged her not to go.
But she said that she wanted to see Stanley
And staggered out the door into the dark.

When we found her Christmas morning,
at the scene of the attack,
she had hoof-prints on her forehead,
and incriminating Claus marks on her back.

Teka got run over by a reindeer
Running away from our house Christmas eve.
You can say there's no such thing as Santa,
but as for me and muzzer we believe.

Now we're all so proud of Stanley!
He's been taking this so well.
See him in there watching Stella
drinking beer andplaying cards all his pals.

It is just not Christmas without Teka
Stanley's all dressed up in blackand
we just cannot help but wonder:
Should we open up her gifts,or send them back?Send them back!!

Teka got run over by a reindeer.
Running away from our house Christmas eve.
You can say there's no such thing as Santa,
but as for me and muzzer we believe.

Now the dog food is on the table
and the pudding made of rawhide chews
and the blue and silver candles
that would have matchedher collar that’s too big

I've warned all my fellow bloggers
they had better watch out for themselves
they should never, ever give a license
to a man who drives a sleighand plays with elves.

Teka got run over by a reindeer.
Running ‘way from our house Christmas eve.
You can say there's no such thing as Santa,
but as for me and muzzer we believe

WooHooooooohoo!

I LOVE IT! (My girl said she's going to have that song stuck in her head until you do the next one!)

You & Muzzer should take it on the road. If you do and you find yourself in need of a hard-working roadie, I'm your pup!

Goober love & smooches,
Stanley
