That was one of my mom's favorite songs back when she was 13 years old. She loved it. Just listened to it again in itunes. It still sounds great.

EXCELLENT song! KHyra was right. You really DID deliver on that one.

Thanks too for clarifying the tune of your last parody. My girl was totally lost.

I was wondering... "how much is that doggie in the mailbox?" I hear another song coming on.

Goober love & smooches,
Stanley

Yet another great song! Your muzzer is a really great poet! Our mom can't carry a tune at all. She only sings with the bathtub water running full blast and then the radio has to be on too! There is no way she could make up her own words!

Whoa. Is there a dog in that box? My ma ape covered our front windows so that we can't see the mail carrier because we all bark and then I have coughing fits. It has ruined my favorite part of the day.

Hmm...well, Gussie...this songwritin' is amazing...you guys are like professionals now...have ya always had this talent??

That Mr. Postman song brings back memories for Mumsie when she was a little girl. The postman used to knock on the first house's door in the neighborhood and colect a cocker spaniel...Happy O'Laughlin...from there he picked up the same group of dogs every day...he had about a pack of 8 in our neighborhood. When asked he said he prefered havin' them with him as they protected him!!

Mumsie had a wire foxie then with an attitude problem. Her dad made the paper boy leave the paper at the back door and HE HAD TO PUT IT INSIDE THE DOOR. Of course no one locked 'em back then...Old Sarge used to have a field day tryin' to take a chunk outta paperboy's leg...and occasionally succedin'...

Things were surely different back then...now the postman hangs on a truck...and ours is a lady....
