The Bath Bug hits!

Earlier this week Maggie and Mitch had a blog entry talking about how the bath bug seems to have recently bit the hoomans, resulting in baths for THE DOGS! I have a rhetorical question for all y'all: If the hoomans get bitten by the bath bug, why must THE DOGS take the bath? I really don't expect an answer. It seems to be a universal hooman truth.

Muzzer got bitten last week.

Ergo...Me n Teka got baths.

Teka takes her baths in the kitchen sink.

She says she likes the view out the window. Muzzer says it is slightly more difficult for Teka to escape from there.

Here is a clean Teka!

Here is a clean Gussie!

Tomorrow is Mardi Gras!

Laissez les bon temps roulez!!!!!

You two look VERY nice! The bath bug has bitten here, too, but so far, only Patches is scheduled to be a victim. She gets groomed on Friday! Heeheehee! Penny and I get to wait a couple more weeks! BTW, I guess your Muzzer has already learned that the plural of y'all is ALL y'all! Don't forget, when there is only 2 of y'all, it's "y'all two both"! Our peeps had to learn a whole new language when they moved to the South!

I think the Bath Bug is making his way here, too...

This weekend my Dad told my Mom that I need a bath...My Mom said, I know...

I guess the bug didn't bite her too bad, cuz I didn't get a bath, but I'm watching her really close...

It's almost bug time here in Oklahoma, for sure. Mom keeps Frontline on us year round so we don't have buggers, but a couple of barn cats she can't catch easy are hit-n-miss for that. I blame the cats.

Ooooooooh, is what Miss Snickers says, hehehehe. Mama is having Snickers take a nappy on the big bed. She is always tired the next day after seizures. Mama doesn't want Snickers too rambunctious to trigger more either. You two look so squeaky clean! We won't get a bath for several weeks yet since we got all of this silly snow again. Now don't let Teka go dig in the dirt, tee hee!

You and the teka Toy look pretty spiffy. But only the kitties would fit in that sink; none of us dogs, not even Abby, would fit. In fact, though the retrievers will fit in the bath tubs, the two Newfs are too big. The Landseers go to the lake for their "baths."

Maggie and Mitch said...

You and Teka look so clean, Gussie! Mitch has still escaped the bathtub! It's totally NOT FAIR!

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

I don't think that Mardi Gras has anything to do with baths. I think it has more to do with donuts. Donuts are a lot better than baths.

There must be something to this bath bug stuff though. I got a bath last week. The bug must be working its way south.

Teka looks very beautiful but not too happy after her bath. And Gus, you look as handsome as always.

Love and Koobuss Kisses,

Yikes! Do I need to send you something to roll in to get rid of that clean soapy smell? Your coat is so white it must be blinding!

Say the word!

Hey, Gussie!

White parts of both dogs
Glisten in the Memphis sun
Gus, dirty no more

Thanks for the Gussie haiku you composed on the spot in answer to all that goober haiku on Wally yesterday! You made me chuckle.

Seriously, though. Your white parts really ARE white! How do you DO it?

Of course, my girl wants to smoosh you and smooch you!

Goober love,
