Update on our project

Hi All:

Gussie here....and I am a bit embarrassed to be posting this, considering the ongoing state of my bedroom! As you can see...progress is not visible beyond the bathroom.
Inside the bathroom however, we have added a big ladder, some paint, and a paint roller.

Also inside the bathroom is a small ladder, lots of different paint cans, and what looks like a monster vacuum cleaner!

Oh yeah, and there is still a hole in the wall where the medicine cabinet is going to be. Maybe by the time I am old, like Joe Stains.

However, the real time killer around here, and the MAIN reason I have not been blogging, is that innocent little bottle and carrying case shown above.
Now, Y'all know muzzer. She is OLD! Her eyes, which have never been good, are getting worserer. She has always worn glasses, starting in 1950! Ever since my sissie E.Rabbit got contacts (and that was a while ago!) Muzzer has been wanting them. And two summers ago, she had a practice pair, but couldn't get them into her eyes. Well, new Doctor, new methods. She brought these home on Tuesday, and since then, she has been putting them in and taking them out every day.
Now, for those of you who wear these things yourself, that may not sound like much. However...her best time so far is 23 minutes to get them in and under 4 to get them out. But OMD, the language! And, if she goes more than twenty minutes without getting them into her eyes, she is supposed to let her eyes rest for an hour.
Now, her eyes are not working. Can you guys tell me why they need the rest? Maybe her ears need the rest from those HBO words. Maybe her poor fist which she keeps slammin into the granite, but I don't see how the eyes need rest.
Anyway..she is quite happy with herself, because these correct her ass tigmatism (funny place to put something to correct a problem with your a**, isn't it?) and she doesn't need glasses for driving! Woo hoooooo...she gets to wear her favorite sunglasses again. Simple minds, simple pleasures.
Anyway, all this taking and putting and putting and taking is eating into my bloggie time. I hope she does better this week, but you know how hard it is to get good help!
for now
Kisses and hugs

She then tried the stand up and get khlose the mirror method and that worked like a charm fur her!

She's got that asti stuff too - lukhkily she khould get LASIK'd or she'd be trying the khontakht route again...

My D had trouble at first too! Every time she approached her eye with a lense - the lids shut - so she played this game with herself for a while too!
But glasses are very charming too - adds an air of sophistication I am told.

My momma freaks out at just the thought of those things. She would rather stick to glasses even though she says they are a big pain especially since they have the progressive lenses given her advanced age.

Our Mom is a glasses forever person. She wrigggles like a puppy if anyone -- doctor included -- tries to go near her eyes. Of course, she is perfectly capable of putting on eyeliner and mascara -- so what's all that fuss about?

Anyway, we admire your muzzer's perseverance and, from what you said, her HBO vocabulary!!

We expect full face photos when the magic transformation has been completed!!

Wirey love to you all.

Mom is falling on the floor and hysterically laughing because she remembers her first month of wearing contacts oh so well! Patience, Muzzer! It will get better! Mom has been wearing contacts for almost 20 years!

Love ya lots,

Here's our story. The first time Mom fainted was the first time the doctor put those contacts thingees in her eyes WAY back in 1962. (Wow. That's a long time ago. She's old.) The third time Mom fainted was a coupla weeks ago when I puked in the middle of the night, in the dark, and she was trying to rescue me. (Read my blog, if you want the details.) Both were ridiculus reasons, if you ask me. (The third time was when she slipped on ice and broke her big leg bone. That one was justifiable.)
My advice: Be careful muzzer doesn't faint. It may take a REALLY long time to get back to bloggin. We'd miss you.

Hey Gussie and Teka,
Maybe in a month or so she'll give up and rearrange her priorities where they should be; blogging. Dem contacks is for people with big veins; they're called vein people. Keep us update on the amazing pace of remodeling guys.

Contacts are obviously a popular topic.

Misery Mistress has been wearing them for nearly 30 years, she has those old-fashioned hard ones. Apparently they are good if you have a night out on the town.

Anyway, she found it really easy to get them in, but harder to get them out. These days she is a bit idle and wears glasses more. The one piece of advice she does have, is, watch it when it is windy. Better to wear glasses in the wind than get grit behind your contacts.

Hope that helps. They are good though.

Hey Gussie, my nana just got contacts too and has a hard time poking her eyes. I hope it gets easier for Muzzer!

I am catching up on all of your adventures!!
