backyard visitor

Me and Teka went into the back yard on Saturday to (ahem) do our business.
Several minutes later muzzer realized we were barking and barking, and Teka was making funny noises deep in her little tiny chest.
Muzzer was afraid that Teka had gone beyond the dogwatch fence line and was stuck.
When she came out to investigate, she found both of us under the arbor, on full alert and making a miserable racket. Many of the other neighborhood dogs had joined us in the wahhooooling.
Look what she finally saw above us in the tree!
Oh my. We did not have this type of wild life in Azrizona. Frogs and Toads and Racoons and Ducks and little snakies. What next?
Still on Alert in Tennessee

Stupid raccoons. When we were in Kentucky the wildlife guys put raccoon trap right by our fence and mom didn't know. When she let us out in the morning Flash and I went nuts because there was a baby in it. She had to come outside in her nightgown to get us in the house. hahaha Don't worry they just relocated the raccoon it came to no harm.

Oh, no, Gussie!!!! Watch out for any deck cushions you might have! One of those masked bandits tore one of ours to pieces, and it made Mom MAD! Luckily we were never suspects. AND, if you hear birdlike twittering coming out of your walls, it could be a nest of newborns (all comfy in cushion stuffies). We have more experience than we care to admit around here. Good thing you've got a good barking posse! Mom says to tell you, "Keep up "the miserable racket." Maybe you'll even get an reward!

(And, if you have any suggestions for little snakie control, let us know. Mom resorted to a spade. It was ugly.)

You are very brave to even consider barking at that form of wildlife. Take care.
