So, what am I, Goody Four Shoes?

Some of my pals have remarked that they are surprised that I would be a bad dog.

Well, ya gotta know that I had help!

Here is what I pawed to Khyra this morning.

"Me and Teka have both been BAD! We have started arguing and pushing and fighting when muzzer opens the treat jar. Yesterday, muzzer tried to separate us by pulling us apart, but Teka would not let go of my ear, and muzzer got all upset because I was bleeding and stuff. Sheesh. What a girlie girl.

Anyway...the treat jar (a favorite of mine, as you can tell) has been banished! So yesterday when muzzer left us to go do her volunteer stuff, someone opened three(!) of the five cabinet doors we can reach. The first door was the hardest, and it got scratched up some.

This is turrible. We did not find the treat jar, muzzer is mad at us (and I am innocent!), and they are looking for a doggie behaviour person to come and "consult." And the monies are coming out of our treat fund!"

Can any dog or hooman tell me what to do about this? Would anyone like to be my persoanl behaviourist and tell Muzzer that we are "normal" terriers? I could pay a little bit up front and more when I get my treat monies back.

OH YEAH...and today I had to go to the groomers, and when I came home, did I get a meatball like Ozzy did? Nah. Just kibble.

Maybe I should do something really bad, just so she finds out the difference!

Poor Gus, things aren't that bad. Your Mommy loves you very much, and she wants you to be a good boy. Surely you didn't open up the cabnets without good reason. Didn't you tell your Mommy that.

Oh no Gussie! That ear business doesn't sound good. You should definitely listen to the behaviorist. I learned quickly. When OBST tries to get in on our food, he gets in trouble and has to go to his box. When I am a nice polite boy, I get seconds. I'm just sayin', sometimes is pays to be good.

First, thanks for posting about the day the music died! Our secretary is listening to it as she types this!

We get into fights about all sorts of stuff, but so far, not the treat jar. Bags of dog food, toys, dirty looks, somedoggie getting too close to Mom, but not the treat jar...YET! If you figure out a "cure", please let us know! We also don't know how to keep doggies out of the cabinet doors except maybe kiddie locks! It's a good thing you didn't get into something dangerous! You two (or Teka) should have entered Mango Minster's bad sport competition! Just sayin'!

Thanks again for the song!

I't would be wagging to be your trainer Gussie. but don't think Muzzer would have me. She knows ALL of us terriers are forever in the naughty corner. But I can tell you had nothing whatsoever never to do with that door opening Gussie. Why? Cos it's never even occured to me to try and open the kitchen cupboard doors. Thanks a million pal for that tasty tip off.

Course the big door is another matter. When Mom left me for about half an hour sometime last year she came back to find her precious old door clawed to pieces on the kitchen side by me, trying to get to my brother and the other side of the door clawed to pieces by bro Otis trying to get to me!

Hope you don't have to endure treat withdrawl for too long. That programmes a bummer.

Oh dear Gussie - we don't know what to tell you. Our treat jar is way up high and we would never be able to reach it even if we could open the cabinets. All we know is that NO pup gets a treat here until the bottom is on the floor and we pay attention to the Momster. HOpe you can get things settled between you and Teka. maybe the behaviorist will have some good ideas.

Two things.

First. Our neighbor hired a behaviorist. For her toys. (Ha! Therein lies the problem.) And it did little good.
Save your monies.

Second. Moma was deep cleaning today and found some scratches on the door frame. She started wondering where they came from. We tried to tell her that a WFT lived here before us (it's true. really it is). But we're not 100% sure she believed us.

Potentially in trouble (as my reputation changes and develops)

Oh Gussie,
We just know that Teka Toy is behind the cupboard incident. That darn girly! We're sorry she had to bite your ear. Hope it is ok now. When Mama had her German Shorthair Pointers, they would open the cupboard doors. So Mama installed child preventative hooks on them, yeah right. The smarty pants dogs learned how to open those right up.

PS I'm picking up Jake & Fergi in the morning to come here for the Superbowl game, wanna come too?
