To answer my own (rhetorical) question

Me again!
Thinking I need to find muzzer
a job or a volunteer thingy.
At the rate she is buying stuff,
there won't be any monies in the
treat account soon.
Today she went to Costco.
Me and Teka stayed home.
We find that place underwhelming.
And she brought home this dog bed!
I have never slept in a dog bed!
I have NO INTENTION OF
SLEEPING IN A DOG BED.
DUH!

But she says that I have been spending
a lot of time on the cold hard floor
under her desk in the kitchen.
And she thought this might be more
comfortable for my "old doggie bones."
Hah!
I might try it.
But not until she gets in here with me!
I have a plan.
Watch for further updates.

Dog beds can be most enjoyable. We have them covering most of our floor surfaces as we are fickle and need several different types of bed to sample throughout the day.

Umm. Gussie. Not that I'm saying your old or anything. I'm just here to say to maybe give it a little try. I (surprisingly ... or, not) found one quite comfy at the Hotel Marlowe this summer. I've been asking for one like it ever since. (I tried to cram it in the car, but it wouldn't quite fit with Moma in there, too). I'm sending you a picture. I'd include it here, but Blogger won't let me.

So. You might want to reevaluate and reframe this idea. It seems nice dog beds come with all sorts of other amenities.

Jake

Pee esS. In my opinion, it would JUST be a day bed.

Oh, Guzzie! Dog beds are great! I love mine! But I don't use it for a dog bed. It is my personal headquarters, my private space that I don't have to share with anybody. It's located in a spot where I can relax on it and see out the patio doors. I watch for chipmunks and other critters there. I also take any snacks that I can grab to eat there. It's a wonderful thing, Gus. Just don't use it as a dog bed. Make it your own private place and you will love it.

Gus, you just might want to try that bed. We have beds here and there are quite comfy. But then we don't get to sleep on the human beds, we think they might be even better.

Mom has thought about the doughnut collar for Phantom, but she is pretty sure he would still be able to get that strong paw around it. But thanks for the suggestion.
