Muzzer sends good reports from St. Loulis, and stories of cans of chili that have expiration dates before I was born. Wish I was there to help her out! 2003 was a very good year, ya know?
Anyway, she thanks you for your most kind thoughts, and sends hugs and scritchies. Me and Teka are reading blogs, but due to the length of Teka's nails, and her disinclination to ruin her Manny Cure, we won't be commenting much. (dad is no help. He is watching the STL Cardinals lose the pennant race and crying himself to sleep over that. Sheesh. Hoomans.)
kisses from Gussie n Teka

Tell your dad that our Mom and Dogdad are doing exactly the same thing!!! When they were in St. Loulis over the Labor Day weekend, they had really good seats to watch what they thought, when they bought the tickets in June, would be a spectacular clincher of the title.
But oops.
Who ever said there is no cryng in baseball???
We hope your Aunt Marie is feeling better and that those cans of expired food go bye bye.
Wirey love,
Jake and Just Harry

We've been thinking about Muzzer. And Auntie Marie. Hoping they're both making progress. Fast. So everyone can get back to where they belong ... sleeping in the beds that are most comfortable. (Speaking of which ... how's the new bed working out?)
We remember late nights when Moma raided the pantry and the freezer to nab and throw out those VeryOldContainers of canned and frozen stuff. She had to do it when Gramma was sleepin'. Something to do with NOTHING ever going bad, in one VeryImportantPerson's opinion. Even WE could taste the rancid pretzels in the Gramma'sBest Cereal Mix.
We'd better stop now. We think we've already revealed too much.
Oops.
Jake and Fergi (looking forward to Muzzer's return)
Hang in there, Gus....your mommy will be home soon.
That's great news about Aunt Marie. We hope that she continues to do well.
As for the Cardinals, there is nothing we can do about them.
Love and Lots of Koobuss Kisses,
Koobie
Hi Gus
Deetzy
My momma laughed when she read about those expiration dates cuz she had to do that with her mother. The cans weren't so bad, but that expired stuff in the refrigerator (can you say "science experiment"?) was really bad!
Licks and wags...

Uh oh, just when I get caught up enough on the farm work to read some blogs, Gussie's Muzzer blows up a computer and takes a trip out of town. Just my luck. Anyway, give our best to Aunt Marie and we hope she's back on the mend soon. Love the poem, too. Whoever wrote it must know Teka quite well. LOL
