Dog Days

Hey All Y'all!
Gussie here: Reporting as Requested by Miss Lacie.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING is going on here worth writing about.

We eat, we sleep. We run in the back yard. We go for walkies, we have dinner. We sleep. We go out for our nightly fence check. We sleep, we have AM Walkies.

Repeat.

The Muzzer has reached new pinnacles of laziness.
If it can't be grilled or eaten raw...it is not being offered at our house.
This means: No special dog cookies. No sauces or gravies. No wonderful smelly people cookies. No morning muffins. No "experiments" which sometimes become "leftovers." NOTHING!

Me and Teka tried to entice her by luring a turtle into the back yard.

She was not grateful. She screeched at us! Then she made Dad take the turtle back to the pond next door and apologize. Teka was depressed, because she was the one who did most of the digging so the turtle could get under the fence. No gratitude around here either.

We haven't seen our friend the racoon. Muzzer says we scared him off. I think it is her fault because she did not invite him in for dinner.

Dad has gotten so fed up that he is eating lunches at the 'Fectory at Rhodes. I think he is really glad that classes start in a couple of weeks.

It is hot. It is muggy. And my feet smell.
Fall cannot arrive too soon.
Thank you all for reading this post. I hope you are not too depressed.
Gussie

Your muzzer sounds as lazy as my Momster! Why can't they make us cuties any goodies! So not fair!

Hope things get more exciting for you soon!

Gus, it sounds like you are just drained by the hot summer weather. When the cooler fall weather comes, you will be back to your old terrier self.

In the meantime, instead of a turtle, sneak a pesky squirrel into the house. That will liven things up, I'll betcha.

Happy Tails,
William Tell

Sounds a lot like what is going on around here. Sandwiches, grilling, or takeout - and only a few walkies.

Woos, the OP Pack

Poor Gussie.Have another try for the Turtle Pie with the nice crusty pastry top. Good with salad. Even Mom can make that.

And rest easy in the hot amd muggies. Why do your feet smell? Of what? Something nice? Mom says my paws pads always smell of Digestive Biscuits!! Teehee!!But. Sigh. You don't have them delicious biscuits so you won't know.Unless your paws smell delightful like mine......!!!

Wiry wags n kisses Eric xxxx

Except for the turtle and the racoon and the smelly feet, it sounds just like here. Bark, wake everyone up, walk/pee, eat, snooze, bark, short trip to the pee bush, snooze, bark, eat, walk/pee, sleep, and repeat.

Oh, and carry Mom home after she has melted in the sun.

Wirey love,

Jake and Just Harry

First of all, can't turtle soup be eaten cold? So why was Muzzer not accomadating???? Does she have the blahs? Mumsie had the blahs, but now she has a cold and has the shivers...she can't seem to be blah and shiver at the same time....

Have Muzzer sniff your feet...

B I G S N I F F ....

That'll cure the blahs...

Question...do they smell like popcorn? Mumsie sez all foxy wires feetsies smell like popcorn...add butter and salt....oh my!

I dunno Gussie...

I'm gonna tell ya a secret....

Are ya ready?

Guess who's comin for dinner tomorrow???

Come on ...guess...

NONE OTHER THAN MY BFF, ASTA!!!!

Yep...they've been on vacation...and are stopping by...(by going hundreds of miles outta their way......)

Paws crossed we two sweet girlies get along....it's gonna be interesting...Mumsie bought Scruffy a diaper...ok...a "male wrap"...to be " adjusted snuggly around his "MALE CONTOURS"...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Where, pray tell, are Scruffy's CONTOURS????

See when Scruffy sees dogs he doesn't know in our housie he has this irritating habit of piss er peeing on our chairs..namely my chair...so voila...the diaper...er wrap...

Our mom tries to lay low as much as possible too, Gussie, but the stoopid grass keeps growing and there are barn beams to wash so she plows ahead!

Gus,

There is no cookerating going on here. It's mostly fine for us since we do raw but this morning we had kibble. The horror!

Ooooh. Turtle! We used to go to a park with a turtle pond. They were intriguing. Were you going to make a soup? It would probably be good with a stewed rabbit...

Even my Mom 'crazy cooking blog' lady hasn't been cooking. She just reads those harry potter books and goes to antique stores. We are having some serious neglect issues.
