Interviewed by Fred

Our good pal Fred, the Bichon King invited me and Teka to be the PREMIER interviewees in his new project on his blog.

He asked us some pretty hard questions!  We did our best to answer the questions and fill in a bit of a background.   So, if you want to know how and when I started blogging, why I call Teka my nemesis, and where our name for the human female person who brings food (muzzer) came from, head right over to Fred's Blog and you can find out the answers to these and other most important questions!

That's http://bichonking.blogspot.com/ in case you missed the last two links!

Let's all support Fred in this effort.  Remember he has a lot of females depending on him!

Update, Miscellaneous and TNT

 OK Furpals.
When last you saw this Dog Bed it
was occupied by "you know who."
I have since claimed it as my own,
on a part time basis
and find it most comfortable.
Highly recommend.
And this is a redbud tree (we think) just
a bit down the street from us.
That, and the return of our special sunbeam
makes me feel better about the
possibility of spring happening
sometime this year.

Gussie out.

Merry Christmas Teka!

Teka Got this new bed for Christmas!
But she hasn't gotten into it, until TONIGHT
 Muzzer was a bit bummed....
because she thought this would be perfect for the little sprout!

Teka always likes to be UNDER the
duvet and blankies on the big bed.
Doesn't matter how cold it is or
how warm it might be!
So you see how perfect this bed is?
We are very happy that we forgot to
move it off the bigger dog bed when the rugs
got vacuumed.   We think it was quite serendipitous.
We will update with any further developments.

Happy New Year to all

I hope all of you are having a great start to your New Year
And spending it with loved ones furry and smooth.  To see what the Wirey Pack and friends are doing for New Years Eve, please go to www.astasworld.blogspot.com and see photos from BOTH of our celebrations.  My parents are keeping the home fires burning, and will probably greet the New Year on UK time.   Their hearts are in the highlands and the streets and alleys of Oxford.

with hugs and kisses for all

An Invitation for My Bootiful Miss Asta

Maybe it's much too early in the game
Ooh, but I thought I'd ask you just the same
What are you doing New Year's
New Year's eve?

Wonder whose paws will hold you good and tight
When it's exactly twelve o'clock that night
Welcoming in the New Year
New Year's eve

Maybe I'm crazy to suppose
I'd ever be the one you chose
Out of the thousand invitations
You received

Ooh, but in case I stand one little chance
Here comes the jackpot question in advance:
What are you doing New Year's
New Year's Eve?

A Might Hunter is our Dog

A mighty Hunter is our Dog, provider never failing;
Our helper She, amid the flood of cicadas prevailing:

Teka was quite proud of herself for this one..which she
clandestinely brought into the house trapped in her mouth.

She proceeded to dismember it on Muzzer's pillow
to demonstrate our intense dislike of the fact
that the suitcases are out and she is packing.

We think she is planning to go to St. Louis
And leave us here with DAD!

I Dun Bin Collared!

For NO REASON at all the Muzzer has put
this ugly blue collar thing on me!

What?  My legs?  You say they look like they
have been chewed upon?

Nah...not me
Must've been something Teka did to me.
Maybe she chewed on my tail a bit too?

Sneaky kind of pointy nosed Jack
Russell Terrier you know.

Does things like this all the time.
I am going to be the laughing-stock
of the day at Impawsible Pets tomorrow.

I just know it.

Sigh......

Teka's day at the Dentist

Teka had to go see the Dog Dentist today to get her pearly whites polished.  She sends her best, and asks whether she will qualify for the "Lambshank Gang" now?

Sigh....I miss her, but being an only dog has been pretty much fun.

What is your idea of Utopia?

Well, we thought we would make a diversionary field trip on the way
home from St. Loulis.......

So we stopped at this town in Indiana where there have been
not ONE but TWO Utopian communities.

And right away...I knew that it was a UTOPIAN place for a roach
on the grass on a beautiful day in early summer.

And then  me and Teka stopped to talk to these folks, and
we decided the members of Utopian Communities must be a bit
stiff and slightly wooden.
But we did see lots of great houses
(And you know how the muzzer is about houses, right?)
And this one...which had a "for sale" sign.
And this place, which is not a house, but a place
called the Atheneum  and is most interesting in a
town full of early and mid 19th century houses.

And a main street trying hard for a revival.

And all around a great place to walk and walk and walk.

We enjoyed our overnight at the New Harmony Inn.

Muzzer and the dad had dinner at a place called The Red Geranium
which they recommend highly.

Me and Teka did not get a T-shirt.

Thanks to Lyman Tower Sargeant for teaching Mom and Dad
to love and appreciate Utopian Communities!
