Well, let me tell you pals, I am not really into this dog-sitter thingy.
Our dog-sitter arrived last night a little early - so he could meet us and muzzer could show him the ropes. He kind of looked like a younger version of E.Beth's pals in Azrizona, cept he was more polite, I think.
He came fully equipped
He brought his i-pod
And his mobile phone.
Muzzer provided the canned cola, chips and salsa and the remote control.
Most of the time, he watched television, or talked on the phone. But he did give great butt scritches, and he kept Teka occupied so I could nap.
He gave us the treats muzzer had set out, but he did not give in to our earnest requests and begging, so we didn't get the cookies that muzzer has hidden, or any more than the two milkbone and one dental bone allottment (each) that she had specified.
He was quite good about letting us in and out. And in and out, and in and out.
Before he left, he turned on the football game for me.
All in all, it was not unbearable, and it did keep Teka from trying to rip my ear off when she got bored.
Muzzer and dad seemed to have a good time. Capitol Steps was funny, as usual, and one of the female members of the group is almost as short as muzzer (we all have things we notice, you know that!)
Muzzer said that they were equal opportunity, non-patisan satirists, which is always a disappointment to her. Dinner was good, but she was worried about me and Teka, so she and Dad skipped dessert after and came right home. First smart decision she made all day.
Her favorite song/skits of the show were "Midnight Raid on Georgia." and "Obama Mia" which you all can listen to on the Capitol Steps very own website.
That's all from here folks. This is Gussie, whining soff!

Glad to hear it wasn't too traumatic! and that Muzzer and Dad had a good time, but I think you should sulk for a few days anyway.. just so they don't think you are cool with it and make a habit of sending humans with i-paws and mobile phones to sit on your head and be mean with treats, they could have at least opted for one that didn't observe any rules and stuffed you full of cookies and ice-cream.. then you would have been happy for them to go socialise whenever they felt like it!
smoooches,
Ben xxxx
Oooh! Your 'rents are lucky to go to the funny show. I have this theory going that funniness and intelligence are inversely related to height (noting, of course, that ALL dogs are shorter than ALL naked apes).
wally t.
I would be very mad if Mommy & Daddy left me with a doggie sitter. No wait...I think I would love it! I would love someone at home with me when Mommy & Daddy are gone! I'm glad you had fun!

OK we are all caught up on all the posts we haven't read yet....You and Teka look quite handsome after your beauty treatments, and PL2 would like to tell Muzzer she leaked quite a bit after reading Gizmo's post too.As for the babysitter???Agatha thinks he is hot,I think he has a lot of cool stuff but the fact that you didn't get extra treats doesn't bode well for him.. Love A+A
Mom's never left us with a doggy sitter, although once we all had to go to our breeder's house and live there for 5 days.. Mom's sister has been to that funny show and liked it a lot. Mom's a stick-in-the-mud and doesn't go out much except with us doggies. Old cousin Nathan used to tell us how she used to go out a lot in her younger days!

we're kind of jealous that you got a doggy sitter when your parents went out for a fun time without you. that's pawsome. we never get any human to stay with us when our mom goes out. well, maybe cuz the last time she went out was about 1992 or so! hee hee.
woofs.
hm the dog sitter doesn't sound bad at all. Maybe I need to see about hiring one for me when the humans go to work....
Wow,Gussie...that sounds EXACTLY what it's like when Bruvver hangs out with us. What's with all the buttscritin' dog sitters...I get it...the sitters are sittin' and scritchin'...darn...say that 5 times fast!!!! Bruvver only gets up to feed or use his papers in the bathroom...well, ok...not papers but ya get the pic.
Mumsie put this crud down yesterday in the yardie that covers the dirt and the new grass seed. Sigh...was fun while it lasted. We still got two baths though. AND Stan's real sissy...like littermate moved into the neighborhood yesterday!!! We haven't seen her yet, but Mumsie's in love and kickin' herself for not takin' her herself...something bout a divorce would happen if she had???? Sissy is 15lbs lighter than Stan...a 40lb. 21 inch Dale...she's tiny...and she prances like Lacie...we can't wait to meet her!!!!!
Barkin' at ya Gussie!!

Hey, Gussie!
Yep. You have the very same dogsitter we have. The only other question to ask is was he a know-it-all teenager?
Goober love,

Tell Muzzer we think she could do her very own comedy show if she really wanted to.
OMG, you had a baby sitter just like hooman kids have? He sounds like he did a great job - not enough to cramp your style! hehehehe
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Hi, Gussie...
Hmmm...The Dogsitter wasn't at all what you expected, Huh??
Sounds like a normal human...Snacks, phones, TV remotes...
He could have given in and gave you another milkbone, though...You wouldn't have told on him...
Abby xxxooo
