Muzzer has been worrying me a bit recently.She has been scurrying around the house saying "No Gussie, I have to finish the Texas. "
And she has been crabby and short with everyone, even DAD!
(no short jokes please!)
And I really thought Texas was finished. After all, our friends Sunny and Scooter live there. And Me and Teka came through Texas on the way to Tennessee. And I didn't think it looked much different from Azrizona or New Mexico, and I didn't understand why MY muzzer thought she had to finish it.

Muzzer and Dad taught us that one. But I think it is even older than they are.
And the house has been messy too.....even messier than usual.There have been piles of stuff all over the place. On the counter,

Well this morning she announced that she was through with Texas and taking it to the mail!
And then I realized that she meant TAXES....not Texas.
So we are finished with Taxes (or Texas, whatever!) and we promise to be better about blogging and visiting.

Tell the muzzer not to worry. She don't even gotta bother with them taxes. We know youse guys are loyal Dems and evidently blue dogs and red dogs have different rules. Mr Geitner is a Dem guy and he didn't pay his taxes and he got a cushy government job as the tax collecting guy. And he didn't get spanked or yelled at or even given a time out in his crate. So if muzzer doesn't pay she might be qualified for a cushy government job too. And if anyone says anything bad to muzzer she can just say she was using Turbo Tax.

Taxes is a topic that my mom doesn't talk about. She's in de nile. Unfortunately, they are not one of those things that if you ignore them they will go away.

Looks to me like Muzzer has everything under control, and it's not even April yet! Hope they take their refund and sink it into some good investements ~ like bully sticks and wally melon and the like. Can't go wrong with banking good eatables in a dog's belly.
I liked your walking tour of Oxford. Had no idea Teka was such a princess. Diva yes, but I thought she was scrappier than that.

Our mom always feels a huge sense of relief when she finishes with the Texas too, Gussie! We have already gotten our return back and can you believe this - mom and dad SAVED it instead of spending it on us! What a stoopid idea!

Well you know what city is in Texas/Taxes, don't you -- it's Dollars, Texas! That's why we got all confoozed at Texas time... (tee hee). My Grandpa Roy does a lot of that this time of year. He's got Grandma all in a tizzy with these people coming to see him at the house. I'm glad my Mom just uses Turbo Tax and leaves her mess in the PC room!

Woohoo for being done with the texas! Our dad finished ours a few days ago. He's a lot more relaxed now! Our pawrents lived in Tennessee for a few years and they sure enjoyed not paying state taxes, but they weren't too thrilled with the high sales tax. Of course, here in Georga, we have both...state tax AND high sales tax! It would be nice if we had just one or the other!
