Flowers that bloom in my yard...tra la!

We were talkin' to Jake and JH's mom this weekend, and she requested flower pictures. Muzzer is a most accomodating person, so here we are! Front view, standing to the left and across the street
We have NO IDEA what this is!

Hi Strangers, among others

Lily with orange and yellow

Orange flowers, very cheery

A stranger amidst the orange flowers

His name is Gar Lick

Blue flowers

Russian Sage, the bees love it

Little bitty lilac flowers

Orange lily, back yard

Big bunch of orange lillies, back yard
We also have two other colors of Hi Strangers!, and some that turned out kind of fuzzy.
But in the next week or so, we will have lots of pinky flowers, so we will try to get more pix then.

You found Moma's distraction. Flowers! So very pretty. And some look so very yummy! (Aren't they intended for eating? At least some of them?)

Getting hungry,

Oooooo! Such pretty flowers! Most of ours are gone now...except the ones on the deck. If it stays this hot, they will probably ALL be gone!

Mom LOVES seeing all of the pretty flower pictures! She says that she thinks that very tall one in the second picture might be called mullein? Our hydrangeas are just beginning to turn blue!

Love ya lots,

Mom says she loves lilacs but they don;t grow here. Her secret place growing up was under a huge lilac bush.

Those are a lot of flowers. It is hard to remember all their names, huh? Do any of them taste good I wonder?

Oh, Gus Gus!

Tell Muzzer I love to smell flowers and to roach around in flower beds. Your yard looks like prime roaching ground for a goobette like me. I think I like the Hi Strangers the best.

I hope you and Teka Girl had a good time with your dad for Father's Day. Also, we hope your sissy in D.C. is okay. We thought of your sissy as soon as we heard about the DC Metro wreck.

Goobery love & kissies,
Stella Bean

Hi Gus
We haven't met but we were so impressed to your alternative lyrics to 'by yon bonnie banks' we just knew we had to say Hello!
We loved your flowers - your garden is looking lovely and so much further on than ours. We have hydrangeas or 'hi strangers' and they have not got one bloom on them yet.
They are the same colour as yours.
We loved your lillies too!
It was really nice to meet you - a sense of humour and a love of gardening make you an ideal blogger!!
love and kisses

We read all about you on the Two Special Wires blog and have just put two and two together - not easy when you are a basset, believe us!

Yo Gus...does Teka do all the flower work or do you do the gardening??? We water our flowers daily...dunno why they get all brown and die...sheeshcheh....

Those orange flowers are what Sus carried in her weddin' bouquet...we didn't water those, though the rain did a pretty good job...even inside where the roof was leaking...pretty hard to move an outdoor wedding inside a ballroom and have it still be rainin' through the ceiling...

Mumsie's goin' to Charlotte in a couple of weeks to start plannin' sissie's wedding for Fall of '10...she wants to get married in Asheville...Mumsie's thinkin' bout havin' a dog table...you know for the owners...how far would it be for your peeps to drive there??? Asta's mom said she'd come...we gotta figure a way to get a real dog table...how cool would that be...you and Teka sitting with us...creatin' havoc and deeeestruction...

We could play tuggie of war with sissie's train....HAHAHAHAHAHA...

Gotta go and help Mumsie pick a row row tis er eeee chicken...on of my favorite jobbies...
