not much, you?

It is still being wet and wetter in Mayemphis.
Muzzer is reading a really upbeat book about the
Yellow Fever Epidemic. Today, me and Dad and
Teka decided we were going to make the best possible
use of our time. So, we all went back to bed. You can't see Teka, because she sleeps
UNDER the covers, but she is that lump behind my butt.
This was taken about 10:00 ayem. Not much sunshine for a few
days, and even muzzer gots the blues.
On a lighter note:
Yesterday morning Teka caught one of these in the back yard.
Killed it DAID! Brought it up to the back porch as a
gift for muzzer. Who did not properly express her
gratitude, but did an excellent Lacie imitation.
Dad to the rescue, gave the rat a burial in a plastic
bag in the trash can. EEEEUW.
Teka now wants Archie to come coach her
for Earth Dog competitions.
G'night
Gussie

Gussie,
Wow, you must tell her she did a good job. I've only ever played with a rat, but I did not kill it. I only liked it.

I like your idea about how to spend a rainy morning. Sure works for me.

Good job, Teka!! You are making the world safe for others with your wonderful hunting skills. You deserve to sleep under the blanket!

Too bad you are going to miss out on another trip, Gussie. That's really not fair. But if Muzzer keeps reading books about the Yellow Fever Epidemic, then maybe not going with her isn't so bad after all.
Hehehe...

Love and Koobuss Kisses,
Koobie

AHH - no fair - I would love to catch a rat - we have field mice here - but they are no fun - I tied to catch a rabbit once - but apparently the pet store is not an appropriate area for hunting - go figure?

My D would make the same sound as your Muzzer - if the rat was dead or alive!

Hey Gussie! Whad'Ya Know???? Teka is really a whippet. Sleeping under covers? Killin' vermin? Yup.

Is your eye all better? Hope so. It's raining here, too.

wags from the whippet

Why did we think your muzzer was someplace else this weekend instead of screaming at Teka's pressie??

FYI, Our Mom would do more than scream, she would probably pass out!!

Wirey love,

Jake and Just Harry

A rat? She really caught a rat? We've got field mice and voles and prairie dogs, but I've never sniffed a rat! Sounds like I'm gonna have to step it up from the birds I've been flushing out of the bushes, though. With role models like I've got, I'm gonna learn a LOT!

Say Happy Trails to Muzzer, in case we don't crawl out of our blanket burrow to tell her ourselves ... it snowed here today!

Gussie. OOOOOHHHH that box of orange goodness on your bloggie must be for a Barkday girl. That one we are never allowed to visit. Dad should of put him in the box for her. Would be a brilliant pressy. Nearly as nice as your mini me. I'm very envious. I only caught the flat sort of rat. But watch and wait Gussie. Like I said. Rats are like buses. All travel together. Another will be along any minute.

Wiry loves and kisses Eric xxxx

Great job of catching the rat, Teka! We're proud of you! Our mom would make the same sound your muzzer did!

And speaking of rain...today is the first time we've seen the sun in almost two weeks! Our back yard looks like a muddy swimming pool and it won't be long before our living room looks like that too! Red clay EVERYWHERE!

Teka, you did a PAWSOME job nabbing that horrible fur ball. Your mommy did not express her gratitude to you sufficiently... maybe you need to guilt trip her into giving you another cookie!

Great job Teka! Our Happy is the one in the family that kills the nouse and brings it to Mom.

Mom doesn't mind those furry critters so much, but if Teka would have showed up with a frog, Mom would have been doing a Lacie impression for sure.

OMD! Once we had rats in the Seattle house and we dogs were completely uninterested. (Same with the mice in our last house). Hunting is overrated.

My ma ape says she dreams of a time when she could be in bed with us at 10 a.m. without us licking her face, pestering for belly rubs, or rasslin' on top of her. She's so lazy.
