Just got the call that Mackie is out of surgery! The doctor said he is doing okay. His intestine was a bit more comprimised than he had hoped, but he pulled out a baby sock from him so i can put the fear of a mass or tumor aside. The doc said he did release a lot of gas and fluid from his belly, some of which came out of his mouth--he was intebated but there is a risk of pneumonia because of it and of course the regualr infection risk, but he did well in surgery and is in recovery now!

Mackie's Mom said that he is in surgery for a bowel obstruction which was discovered during a barium scan. Keep those Paws crossed please!

Ohmidogness! Poor Mackie. I know his mom must be very skeered. My paws are crossed real tight that everything goes okay with his operation and he's up to his old tricks real soon.

Oh Gussie. Thank you for updating us. We'd not seen this yet. Poor Mackie. Poor Mackie's moma and family. We are sooooo glad that he got the attention he needed ... well ... you know what we mean ... and they got the big plug out. We'll be keeping our paws crossed that his recovery is fast. And easy.

Hopefully Mackie will have a complete recovery and be fine. he should watch what he eats. A Golden friend of ours had to have blockage surgery twice because he ate two socks that one of the teenagers left on his bedroom floor. Muzzer doesn't let you and Teka eat socks, does she?
