Packing - Day 1

Gussie here...reporting from the kitchen in Mayemphis!

Faced with the option of accompanying Dad to the office and helping him pack books, or staying home with Me n Teka and helping us pack up the kitchen, muzzer did the smart thing!

And the burning question of the day is:

If you have piles of silver stuff that haven't been used in two years ( at least!)

....and they have gotten badly tarnished in the meantime..............

Then should you polish them before you wrap them up to ship them.

Real World Response:

Just who are we kidding here...put it back in the bag and seal that box Gussie!

Moma figures the only time to be sure and shine it all up is when VIPs come to visit. And even then it doesn't always get done. Like this May ...

... well, we won't go there.

Mom is LOL here - she has so much silver in need of polishing. Most of it is still in the boxes it was shipped in the last time we moved.

Happy packing.

Good luck with your packing.
We spent weeks helping our hoomans pack, and the boxes still need to be unpacked........... we moved 3 months ago.
So the question we ask is................
Do we really need all this stuff anyway??

One of the squares is a hoarder the other a chucker. Mom is starting a new rule. 1 new thing in ...2 old things out....hehehe could be bye bye Daddy Square!!!

Vet Kid will be traveling through Mayemphis next month on her way home, home, home from Maryland! So it might be that you and Teka will pass Vet Kid and her kitties somewhere on the I-40 route. We'll be thinking of all of you during the traveling. Give each other a wave, won't ya? Have a safe trip, too.

Happy Tails,

We think Muzzer made two right choices! You can always clean the silver stuffs later and then wrap it in aluminum foil (if you aren't going to use it right away). It will stay tarnish-free for a loooong time! And it's a whole lot easier to pack the kitchen than a bunch of heavy books! Happy packing! (Save your stuffies for last).

Wooo! All that packing makes us tired. We might need a tall cold drink after reading that.

Hope your muzzer is hanging in there. And tell her hoppy anniversary from us!

We used our wrong account with that last comment! We attribute it to being mad with hunger.

Sheps w/Pep and no dinner (and it's after 6:30!)

Polished silver is amazing. Cept it tarnishes...we agree with Muzzer...shove it in the box and prepared to be amazed when you polish it in the new house!!

And Gussie dear...yes, yes, I WOULD make an ADORABLE Dale puppers...cept hahahahahaha...I'm so not leaving my lifeguard chair and Mumsie's purple plastic card.

If I get rid of the boyz, who would I lifeguard? (Or is that whom...that's a tricky one...I would lifeguard whom....crap..they both sound right...must check with Miss Enid.) Maybe I best rethink this about the boyz...

Duh. Of course. It will not be any different in the new house than the old. Why clean it first? Ha! You know one time when my momma was a pup her family moved and they had what you call packers. They packed a frying pan from the top of the stove still with bacon grease and whatnot in it. I suppose bringing your dirties from the old house makes the new one feel more like home.
